I qualified as a doctor in July 1999 from Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospitals medical school (UMDS), now unfortunately part of Kings, as one of the last graduates of the old millennium.

In my final year at medical school I did my elective at Jikei Univertsity Hospital,Tokyo. 6 weeks of studying Ophthalmology and Cardiology, and more importantly having fun in Japan. I went for the food, the culture and the medicine. A trip I'll never forget with hosts who treated me exceptionally well.
